About the Role
The Testing Officer plays a key role within Pixii’s Engineering function, supporting the integration, configuration and testing of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
This hands-on role involves workshop-based testing activities including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to ensure systems meet required quality, compliance and performance standards. You will work closely with engineers and workshop staff to support product delivery and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Integration, configuration and testing of BESS systems
Carry out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in line with engineering and customer requirements
Accurate data collection throughout the FAT process
Provide testing feedback to the engineering team for continuous product improvement
Test and verify assemblies, including electrical assemblies
Visually inspect and confirm that quality standards are met
Assist with assemblies and wiring where required
Work collaboratively with workshop staff as part of project delivery
Maintain quality standards through best practice and adherence to procedures
Demonstrate strong focus on workplace health and safety
Highlight issues, propose solutions, and contribute proactively to the team
Support and mentor new employees where required
Skills and Experience
Trade qualified Electrical Fitter / Mechanic (or similar hands-on electrical background)
Minimum 3 years industry experience, ideally in control systems / control panel wiring
Strong ability to interpret complex electrical schematics
Familiar with basic industrial communications and networking protocols
Strong computer and IT capability, including accurate recording and reporting of test data
High attention to detail and a strong quality mindset
Sound understanding of power electrical and control systems
Motivated and interested in upskilling, taking ownership, and growing with the business
